Vitamin K2, like vitamin D3, is an essential fat-soluble vitamin that primarily plays a role in blood clotting and healthy bone metabolism. In combination with vitamin D3, it can fully exert its synergistic effect on the body by optimally utilizing the calcium absorbed in the intestines by vitamin D3 and transporting it precisely where the body needs it: into the bones and teeth.

The body can produce vitamin K in the intestines, but this production ability varies significantly from person to person. It is also found in animal or fermented foods, but those who do not consume these should consider supplementing vitamin K. There are several forms of vitamin K, and the K2 in NN Vitamin D3 + K2 is the MK7 form—known as menaquinone—which is particularly well absorbed by the body due to its high bioavailability.
